【摘要】:ThispartofBS5395givesrecommendationsforthedesignofstairswithstraightflights,includinglandingsandwindersforalltypesofbuildingandindustrialwalkways.NOTE1ExternalwalkwaysarecoveredinBS8300.Itdoesnotapplytostepsorstairswhicharenotconnectedtoabuilding,forexample,thosewhicharepartofthesurroundinglandscapeorwhichprovideentrytoaproperty.Whilstinformationwithinthisstandardisrelevanttoexternalstairs,arangeofadditionalissuessuchasdurability,performanceinvariableenvironmentalconditionsandtheinconsistencyofnaturallightingcanmeanthatapplicationofthisstandardalonedoesnotaddressissuesofsafetyandconvenienceinexternalsituations.NOTE2BS8300addressestheseissuesinmoredetail.Thisstandarddoesnotcoverspiralorhelicalstairs,whichareaddressedwithinBS5395-2.IndustrialstairsarecoveredinBS4592-0.Thestandarddoesnotapplytoramps,whethersteppedornot,nortoladdersnortostepswithinswimmingpools.Thisstandarddoesnotcoverlimited-usestairse.g.stairstobeusedinloftorbasementconversions,whichwillbeaddressedwithinBS5395-4).
